This tour involves the trek to the summit of Borneo on Mt. Kinabalu at 4095m asl with an overnight stay in one of the spaces at the allocated huts. The park authorities only allow a maximum of 120 climbers per day and spaces are allotted based on available bed space. The trek to the accommodation zone aka Laban Rata will take between 4-6 hours depending on your level of fitness. Here you will stay the night in your allocated accommodation. Early the next morning at about 2am you will start on the final leg of your summit ascent. This short trek will take between 2-3 hours per way. Return to Laban Rata for breakfast before trekking back to Timpohon Gate for your transport back to Kota Kinabalu. Not recommend for those suffering from hypertension, asthma, obesity, heart related problems and any other ailments that recommend avoiding strenuous activities.
