Make sure your vote counts at FSC General Assembly 2011 if you cannot attend!

As much as we would like to see every member attend General Assembly 2011, we understand that it is just not possible for some to make the trek to Kota Kinabalu. But even if you cannot attend, your vote is important!

To make sure your vote is counted, members who are unable to attend the General Assembly may designate another individual/organisation as their representative (proxy) to vote on their behalf.

Members who wish to designate a representative have to provide a written statement, signed by two witnesses, indicating the member who will represent them at the FSC General Assembly. We strongly appeal to those members who can't attend to designate a proxy.

In order to avoid a situation of conflict of interest, proxies should not be given to staff of FSC and FSC National Initiatives. This will help prevent that the team of professionals implementing the FSC system is also deciding on its future.

Please note that according to the FSC By-Laws, paragraph 45, only those members who are no more than 9 months in arrears with their payments are eligible to vote.

If you have not paid your fee for 2010 or earlier years, please do so as soon as possible, to maintain your voting right!

If you have any questions, please contact membership@fsc.org
